This project with Jacob Kassay uses a pre-existing book as it's starting point and eliminates all of the printed information within. Printed in an edition of 1000, the original book is a title-less publication produced on occasion of Kassay's 2011 exhibition at the ICA London. The remaining unsold copies of the edition re-enter the printing process as support, using black ink to redact the books' original text and images.
No Goal documents the exhibition of Jacob Kassay (born 1984) at The Power Station, featuring a 65-foot-long muslin drape cascading down the building's interior. The book features a transcribed This American Life episode on Niagara Falls, with photographs from the artist's family archive.
